Party favor and rains

Good evening.

If you meet someone at 11 PM, do you still wish them a good evening? I don’t quite understand the manners of it all. What I do, however, understand is that bye-byes are wished in good-nights. I love it actually. It’s so sweet and kind.

Because that’s the last you see someone that day and you hope they get some good rest after the chaos of the entire day has finally passed. Even when you are not around. In fact, the last bye-bye good night is the only greeting that is wished wayyyy prior than it actually happens for people. It’s like something to take home after the hang-out. A little party favour, if I may.

I’m not weird, okay. This is just one of those things I realised I believe in when I sat down to write.

I am running late for bed-time. But there’s a bunch of things I want to write to the Internet about (write-home-about, get it?) So, I shall be brief and quick.

One. Off late, the kindness + patience of my self-talk is directly dependent on whether or not I have gone to the gym + finished my 10k steps + eaten in the right macros/micros. Do it, and even if things go haywire pro max, I can regulate. If not, it’s all the bad hormones.

So, I figured, it is best to get done with most of these in the morning. Thus, the 10PM bed-time and all that.

I’m on a 6 day streak and I love it.

Two. Was listening to Joe Hudson on a podcast and liked a bunch of things. A, that you must always ask for it all from life. A lot more becomes achievable that way. B, that any point of conflict, once addressed, holds potential for a lot of efficiency. Wow? And c, this idea of asking your friends 7 reasons why any of your negative self-talk might not be true.

Three. It rained today. And I could not find a rickshaw or a cab home. From just 10 minutes away. And I was not ready to walk in muck. So, I wandered for about 90 minutes in Hiranandani. Sure, I got my steps in. But I could have been faster and happier in the gym or some place dry. I hate the rains, ew.

Four. Trained instinct to send me links + research + episode arcs on all people who block a podcast call on my calendar. And I love it so much. Saves me so much follow-up + random coordination. God bless these tools, really.

For a woman who’s not super religious/spiritual, I do call upon God/Universe/Powers-that-be to bless other things a lot :p

Five. Broke my brain trying to find an answer to an open question I have on me. All day today. I still don’t have an answer. And it makes me feel like JEE-prep days when I was stuck with a sum all day and I’d go to bed with something in my heart unsettled. The only difference is, in a day or ten, I’d arrive at it. And there was always the professor I could go to, if need be.

With this one, I’m on my own.

But I’m also not JEE-prepping. Life-prepping. Far beyond graduation.

Grad pro max.

And that’s all folks. I’ve got to be up at 6 tom so I can make it to 9:30 post gym, et al.

Ciao.
